Our Story

Born out of the restlessness of two New York floral designers to create their own world of fabulous flowers, Black Dahlia Design was formed. Lourdes Riddle and Jessica Pattee have a combined 40 years in the business, from small boutique flower shops to managing large event companies. For them, designing events is inspired by the world around them - flea market finds, New York City architecture, parks and gardens, and colorful neighborhoods. Using a contemporary yet classic aesthetic and utilizing: lush plants, textural foliage, and perfect hand picked blooms these two artists assemble arrangements to create bespoke events for clients with high expectations.
